We are very pleased that despite these challenging and dramatic times, artists and performance art practitioners find the strength to create profound and deep performances. This year, with the support of our German partners from the city of Karlsruhe (at their request, we are not disclosing names), we were able to support, both institutionally and financially, the creation of the project Kobzar's Birds within the framework of the 2022 Project Support Program (#upapf) by Impulse. Transformation Platform, and we are very happy about this.
We thank all the participants in the process and the wonderful team of the "Kobzar's Birds" project for how they were able to combine their skills, bring them together, and create such a valuable and important joint work. For poetically revealing to the audience the treasures of "The Great Vault" through a talented and organic combination of dance, music, video, text, voice, architecture, artistic design, and movement, showcasing its contemporary meanings.
Around 20 participants worked on creating this live version of the performance over the course of 9 months and were involved in the process. The first two shows of this multimedia promenade performance on September 24 in Kyiv were seen by about 70 viewers. We eagerly await the premiere of the video version of this performance (at the end of October). For now, you have the last chance to see the "Kobzar's Birds" performance live in Kyiv only this Sunday—October 1 at 12:00 and 19:00. So, don't miss this opportunity.
The implementation of the performance was supported by the House of Europe alumni program, in cooperation with and with the support of Impulse. Transformation. Platform as part of the 2022 Project Support Fund special program. The performance was also supported by the Contemporary Dance Platform within the framework of the "Speak with Your Body" project, Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
