The war, terror, and genocide perpetrated by Russia in Ukraine is a global challenge that shapes the shared future of the entire world right now. In this situation, Ukrainian artists and performance art practitioners who remain in Ukraine are contributing in every possible way through art, volunteer work, cultural, and social initiatives, assisting the most affected groups.

We are defending our freedom, the sovereignty of our country, advocating for global peace, and fighting against Russian terror on Ukrainian soil, preventing its spread to the rest of the world.

We feel a global wave of solidarity from the international community and significantly rely on your support in this critical situation, for which we are immensely grateful.

Performance art relies on a strong connection with society and is vulnerable even in peaceful times. During the war, artists in Ukraine who reach out to us for help often lack a stable means of earning a living through lessons, performances, or other work. Some have even sustained physical injuries and need retraining.

The only way to survive today is to take on side jobs and live off rapidly diminishing or non-existent savings, which are used for mutual support, including sharing food and donations with various initiatives within our means.

To respond quickly and address urgent situations, we must constantly unite and share resources. The situation is extremely critical in finding solutions both for meeting basic needs and for continuing artistic practice under these highly dramatic circumstances.
